Learn from my New Mentor

I have found that everyone needs a mentor. It doesn’t matter how gifted you are or how smart you may think you are. You need a mentor. This blog is about WEB 2.0 Internet marketing and I have a few Mentors. I have recently found someone who is very good at showing one how to build a list and create an online business. Today I am recommending him to you….

I don’t know how I got on his mailing list, but I started to receive emails from him. As I commonly do, anyone I don’t recognize in my email box I delete. I believe one day I received one this guys here’s a free gift for you. So I was thinking it couldn’t hurt to take a look as a free gift. So I opened it and low and behold it was a 213 page manual explaining how to properly build a list.

The title was Complete Book of List Building. As I started to read this book I realized that not only did he tell you what you needed to build a list, but he went into detail about how to do each and every step. That’s what’s missing from 80% of the stuff you buy on the web today. I am going to give you this guy’s name and web site, go there give him your name and email address and start implementing his tactics. If you do implement his tactics it is very possible that you may be earning 10 -15k in 6 months to a year.

I know you must saying to yourself, come on already what this dude’s name!!!! Ok, You have read the article this far so his name is Sean Mize. You can visit his web site at

I hope that most of you do check out Sean Mize. As you can see I haven’t used any affiliate links or anything like that. I truly believe this is one of the few people out there that is passionate about what he does and break it down for you step by step.

Have You Mastered One Web Marketing Technique

I was reading an article the other day about a gentleman who has done nothing but traffic exchanges to promote his Internet business for the last eight years. I came away from reading that article very impressed for two reasons. In this article, I want to talk about Web marketing techniques and what those two reasons were.

My personal opinion of why people fail in with their own Internet marketing business is because they never master traffic generation techniques. Web marketing is really more than just getting traffic to your website however.

Once you get traffic to your website, you have to convert some of that into a positive response. A positive response can be anything from getting somebody to subscribe to your newsletter, getting them to buy a product, getting them to bookmark your website, or getting them to refer you to a friend.

Here are the two things that impressed me about the gentleman who would build a full-time income with Internet marketing, doing nothing more than traffic exchanges.

 1. He did master one form of traffic generation

 2. He was consistent in his efforts on a daily basis

It has been said that if you enjoy what you do you’ll never work a day in your life. So it is with Web marketing techniques. Take the example of the gentlemen who became an expert in traffic exchanges.

He was fascinated with the way traffic exchanges worked.

He devoted every day to getting more traffic to his web pages.

He understood the ins and outs of traffic exchanges because he knew from a first-hand experience what worked.

This is another reason why most people fail on line. They never master even one traffic technique and they never learn Web marketing techniques that allow them to earn enough money to want to stick with it.

Hopefully, you are mastering Web marketing techniques that involve doing something that you enjoy to move your business forward.

Creating Search Engine Friendly Blog Posts Part 2

searchenginefriendlypost.jpgToday we are going to finish our article on Creating Search Engine Friendly Blog Post.  We are going to be covering the main content of a blog post and how to strategically help our posted articles rank high in the search engines.  So buckle up and enjoy the journey…

In Creating Search Engine Friendly Blog Posts Part 1 we discussed the headline of your blog post and how important it was to find a catchy headline and at the same time include the keywords or keyword phrase you wanted to rank in the search engines.  We also mentioned that fact that when using upper case letters the search results are different as well.  In our particular case we come up number 3 and 4 on the first page of Google both ways.

When I first discovered this, it was with Fort Lauderdale Personal Injury Lawyer.  I was on the first page of Google 2 times for this keyword.  But, when I make every letter lower case, I didn’t show up until page 3.  I just wanted to point this out because it is something I never would expect.

 MAIN BODY

Now let’s discuss the main body of our article.  You want to create your post to be keyword rich but not so much that it’s obvious to your reader. All it takes to make your article keyword rich is to write the key word phrase a couple m ore times than you normally would.

Let me give you an example.  You might be writing about a famous wrestler Dan Gable.

Dan Gable won the Olympic Gold Medal in 1972.   He did not give up a single point to any opponent during the 1972 Olympics.

You might want to write the second sentence here using Dan Gable again.  Instead of using He did not, you could write;

Dan Gable was so awesome that he did not give up a single point to any opponent during the 1972 Olympics.

Remember you only have to do this a couple of time through out your article.  This gets your keywords or keyword phrases into the content of your posted article.  That’s just the beginning.  I could go on and on about how you should link your keywords to other article you have written (hint, hint) but that is not the scope of this article.  (BTW:  You also want to bold any links)

After we get our keywords and keyword phrases into our main content, you want to go back and make them bold.   Once you have completed the task the next step would be to Make sure you post your article into the proper category.  What I mean by this is if you are writing about Social Marketing.  Make sure that if you don’t have a category for your topic, create one.  Because the search engines will like a url address like this

http://arsenalmarketing.com/social-bookmarking/social-bookmarking-where-is-it-heading

            Versus something like

 http://yoururl/uncatagorized/social-bookmarking-where-is-it-heading

or

 http://yoururl/pg=?8

It is important that you create good categories and have a reason why each blog post goes to a specific category.  If you take a look at all my posts you will notice that I have bolded all of my keyword and keyword phrases.

As you can see this type of stuff is not rocket science, it not some secret that I am letting out of the bag.    If you thought this article useful or not.  Please let us know by leaving a comment.

Creating Search Engine Friendly Blog Posts Part 1

Creating Search Engine Friendly Blog Posts

Blogging is one way to get your business or products in the top of the search engines.  How many times have you heard that line?  How many times have you said to yourself, ok, if that’s true how come I am not up there?  That’s what I am hoping to help you with today.

Let’s start off by looking at the posted article on your blog.  You have your headline which is what brings folks to your site.  Then you have the actual body or content of your article.  In the body you may have some graphics and you may have some hyperlinks, either linking to your other article in your site or to a product or affiliate page.  That’s basically your posted article.  Let take a look at the headline and the body in more detail.

The Headline

When writing the headline you of course want to make it say something that sparks the interest of your readers or potential readers.  For instance when I wrote the headline to this article, my initial thought was I would get people who blog but are frustrated because they do not rank in the search engines.  So now we have established that we have to make a catchy headline to spark interest.  Easy enough!  But we also want to create a headline that has the main keyword or keyword phrase in it as well.  If possible we also want our main keyword phrase as close to the front of our headline as possible.  However, please keep in mind that this is not always possible.

After you have created a killer headline, go to Google and search for your headline.  See what types of sites appear in the results.  Take a good look at your headline as well.  A lot of times we all tend to make the first letter of each word in the headline Upper Case.  Take a look at my headline, each word begins with an upper case letter.  As I am writing this post, I have searched Google for my headline.  The results are 404,000 sites competing.  However, if you do not upper case each word there’s a little over 476,000 sites competing.

Take a minute let the paragraph above sink in.  Go back and re-read it, then type in the two different headlines.  This is vey important if you are trying to compete for specific products and industries.  How will your potential client search for your business or product?  Keep this in mind when creating your headline.  Stay tuned for Part 2 of this article where we will be discussing the anatomy of the Body of your article.

Social Bookmarking Where is it Heading

Social bookmarking is the practice of saving bookmarks to a public Web site and “tagging” them with keywords. This is just one more example of the challenges facing an Internet marketer today.

On course with every challenge comes new opportunities. Social bookmarking gives you new opportunities in ways of organizing your information. Let’s use a blog post as an example.

When the writer posts an article in their blog they will tag that article with the few keywords that are relevant in it. You then bookmark your post to various social bookmarking sites such as StumbleUpon, Digg, Furl, and so on.

The tagged keywords give relevance to your socially bookmarked article. Social bookmarking services indicate who you are, by allowing you to create a profile and by linking that profile to your blog URL.  Readers and can then quickly access your blog to read more articles by you.

Some directories will allow you to vote for an article. The more votes you get, the more important to your article becomes, which creates more readers, as well is creates more interest from search engines, who are spidering the social directories for content.

The larger picture for social bookmarking is the communities that have sprung up from it. As readers began to find other authors that they enjoy they have formed communities where they can interact with each other.

The savvy Internet marketer will be able to tap into that by interacting in these communities, thus creating credibility and allowing more traffic to their own websites and blogs. Master social bookmarking and grow your business is the summary of this article.

Social Marketing What Does It Mean Today?

Social marketing goes way beyond trying to sell a product. When you practice social marketing to your target market you are attempting to influence their thoughts, their ideas, and their behavior. For the average marketer that is hard to understand.

Let’s take the Internet, for example. An Internet marketer, for years, has attempted to master traffic generation techniques that involve promoting their website, and driving visitors to it. This was all well and good for people who were willing to invest the time and money that it took to get enough visitors to make their website profitable.

As the Internet has grown in stature and in size people who have never really used it much in the past are now coming on line in droves. The way they search the Internet is changing, and the way you have to market your business is changing as well.

You can certainly get your traffic via search engines and paid advertising methods. But the smart Internet marketer practices social marketing today.

Here’s what I mean by that…

Today’s successful Internet marketing businesses go way beyond website building and paid advertising. They now include ways to interact and influence their readers’ thoughts with blogging, social bookmarking, social networking, Web 2.0 marketing, etc.

If these are all foreign terms to you, then you need to bring your marketing expertise up to the next level. Today social communities have a tremendous amount of clout on the Internet. Your ability to influence not only one visitor to your blog, or one reader of an article you wrote, is important, but your ability to influence the whole community can have a huge impact on income that you achieve in the future.

The sooner that you can grasp social marketing and implement it into your business the better off you will be in the future.
